NAUI Course Director Class
NAUI Course Director is someone that has achieved the highest designation conveyed by NAUI. Most NAUI certified divers were trained by a standard NAUI Instructor. A NAUI Instructor is authorized to offer training necessary to certify divers to the level of Divemaster. In NAUI a Divemaster is one level below that of a NAUI Instructor.
A NAUI Instructor Trainer is a step above a standard NAUI Instructor. An Instructor Trainer is a special type of Instructor that teaches the Instructor development course necessary to become a new NAUI Instructor. An Instructor Trainer can deliver the course but can not sign off on new instructors -- that requires a NAUI Course Director.
A NAUI Course Director is a step above a NAUI Instructor Trainer -- Not only can a NAUI Course Director perform the duties of a standard NAUI Instructor and a NAUI Instructor Trainer -- but a NAUI Course Director determines who becomes a new NAUI Instructor or NAUI Instructor Trainer.
In summary -- the final step required to become a NAUI Instructor or NAUI Instructor Trainer requires the signature of a NAUI Course Director.
